Purified Air Shield, LLC presents an innovative process and line of products specifically designed to provide purified clean air micro-environments in schools, restaurants, and other establishments, enabling them to reopen safely with a higher seating capacity, promoting educational and financial success in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
The Purified Air Shield Desk Cubicle is comprised of a system for creating and maintaining a pressurized, purified, clean air micro-environment within a prefabricated and field-assembled desk module.
How it works:
Purified clean air is created by treating the building’s indoor air to a multi-step process beginning with an ultraviolet light treatment, which has been shown to kill airborne pathogens including COVID-19.
The air then flows through a HEPA filter eliminating 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns (by comparison, N95 masks filter only 95% of particles as small as 0.3 microns).
A Charcoal filter removes odors and gaseous pollutants.
Additional treatments including heating, cooling, and humidification of the air are used to create optimal comfort.
The Air Purification System is forward compatible with future scientific and medical developments and needs.
This purified air is then supplied to the space within the module through a ceiling-mounted linear air diffuser at the open wall side of the module, and through additional ceiling-mounted air diffusers within the space, creating a positive pressure micro-environment that protects the user from external pathogens such as COVID-19.
The contaminated air is drawn into a floor-mounted linear return air grille, creating a downdraft curtain flow of continuously purified air at the open wall which prohibits external air and contaminants from entering the space; and also creates a downdraft flow of purified air within the space.
This downdraft flow of purified air provides for healthier breathing and directs and carries airborne pathogens, including COVID-19, away from the user, reducing the chances of contracting the virus. The contaminated return air is ducted back into the Air Purification System for re-purifying.
